Craniosacral Therapy in LondonIntroduction I am a doctor of Integrated Medicine who has practised as a Wellbeing Physician in Harley Street and beyond for the past 17 years. I have trained widely since leaving the NHS in counselling & psychotherapy, nutrition, exercise training, applied kinesiology and craniosacral therapy whilst researching complementary therapies for medicine. I now specialise in craniosacral therapy because it is the most powerful form of healing I have ever come across in modern medicine. It’s a form of light touch with soul intent that triggers spontaneous self healing cycles and unravelling of tissue tension deep within the body. Craniosacral therapy can relax internal muscle, organs, arteries, etc. simply through touch, energy and intent. It vastly accelerates the self healing process within the body through releasing pain and emotional trauma. It can be done through clothes and bandages whether lying, sitting, or standing. Craniosacral therapy originally derives from a fusion of cranial osteopathy and psychotherapy as a soul centred form of body psychotherapy. It has been around for about 100 years but has been radically updated by Dr John Upledger and colleagues and worldwide there are over 300 000 trained in this unique healing modality. Thousands of physiotherapists, nurses, psychotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors etc have trained in this. It surprises me how few doctors have trained in this fascinating form of accelerated self healing so far. Craniosacral therapy works with an inner healing consciousness within us all, that heals and recharges us at night. This inner physician/soul talks to us through our fingers telling us his/her pain and anguish and releases this in an energetic catharsis through us as a healing cycle. I prefer to call this inner physician our soul as I frequently encounter past life injuries in my craniosacral work. Many other therapies work with the soul, psychotherapy, homeopathy, kinesiology, acupuncture, zero balancing, rolfing etc. Craniosacral therapy differs in that it is palpable soul consciousness that we feel and listen to beneath our fingertips. Craniosacral therapy is the most powerful method we have of tapping into this soul consciousness and helping it heal us through accelerated self healing cycles. Personally I’d recommend craniosacral therapy after all major surgical operations, ceasarians, fractures, sports injuries, chemotherapy, back pain, low energy, major shocks etc. I have indicated in ‘Implications for modern medicine’ the widespread uses of this unique complementary therapy, which are far beyond what craniosacral therapy is usually advertised as. | |
